I’m fascinated by what it means to be “Southern.” To me, it sometimes feels like people in the South think everything nice, polite, and/or preppy is “Southern.” Like writing thank-you notes. You know what, people north of the Mason-Dixon line write thank-you notes.
This quote comes with no context from a best friend of mine, and it seemed apropos to this topic.
“Southern civilities mask a multitude of sexist wounds.”
What do you find “Southern,” Moxie readers?
